Northern California Handweavers

CNCH (Conference of Northern California Handweavers) with the theme "The California Trail" celebrating the discovery of gold had a special exhibit called "Trailblazers". Trish Lange was invited as one of those who has made a significant contribution to the craft of weaving, an artist who has taught, encouraged, shared, and inspired others through the years with her generosity, talent, and vision.  She also won a gold ribbon for "RETRO 60's" in the Fashion Show.

Trish Lange and the Art of Recyclable Weaving

FIDM (The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising) in Los Angeles presented an exhibit featuring the work of six California wearable artists whom they thought were on the cutting edge of design entitled "Intuitive Threads: Wearable Art". The artists came to FIDM to speak about their work and present their unique materials, techniques, and inspirations.   Trish's garments contain plastic signage tape ("Caution: Artist at Work"), bubble wrap ("Please Don't Burst My Bubble") and plastic straws ("Summer Time: Straw Hat & Bag").
